Agora, Inc.
Do you know anything about this company? They're hq'd in Baltimore, and claim to be a publishing company... I saw a couple of job ads that looked alright, but after a quick google search all I could find were articles on their preservation of Baltimore historic buildings, their eccentric, investment newsletter writing president in France, and an SEC filing against them for selling false insider tips as a newsletter. Sounds REALLY fishy, there's no "they're definitively a scam" or "definitively legit" pieces on them...
Infrequency and Indie Punching. Not Professionalism.

I have not heard of them. I did the same google search as you. I would not be too quick to get involved with any company with SEC complaints filed against them. Judging form the speed of the federal gov't those charges are probably still pending and the job listings may be because people are jumping ship. Just look what the SEC did to the once prominent Bluth Company.
I'm just amazed at the LACK of coverage. The sunpaper is very prickly about letting you read, or even search, articles over a few weeks old, but here's a company with offices in a cluster of historic buildings in a growing area, 250 employees, and a skeevy direct mail business. Shouldn't someone have mentioned this? Even the b-more biz journal's got nada. Just weird. Check out agora-inc.com, the Pres guy just seems more like the guy with question marks on his suit than a publisher. Shame, I saw "Editorial Assistant" and "Baltimore" and thought it was pretty sweet. Awesome. Incredible!
I already saw that guy on their website. Odd.
On an unrelated note. Nick Hornby book:

It's probably pretty funny. I may buy it and "future dictionary for america" when I gets paaaaaaid. Do you dare me to hide it until then?
Also looks like he has a novel coming out next year.

I like that guy even more than Jerry Ohrbach. Looking forward to your purchases.
