Ghost Cat

Coldest morning ever. Checked weather.com when I got here 11 degrees, feels like -9. Apparently Metro drivers are as dumb as automobile drivers. The train took forever this morning and one train died at the L'Enfant station. I do not think I can make scary train/ghost sounds.

I am saying that exercize will resume today, don't hold me to that. It appears to be the beginning of a verrrrrry long day.

On a positive note, pitchfork has become the list-o-rama we so sorely desire.

I actually got going pretty early, though it was damn cold in my damn room. I also had my boots, scarf, and gloves in the appropriate storage place: Passat trunk.
My car is not at all happy. I was doing 140 mph as soon as I turned it on. Traffic, though, was pretty awesome, expect for sun glare. Heard a couple of MARC trains were cancelled. Cancelled? Thats pretty f____ed up, because if you have to take the MARC into DC, you're pretty far from other public trans.

I had pleasant dreams of hoppers waltzing with zombie cats, accompanied by the strains of a chorus of families singing "afternoon delight." Rufus Wainwright was conducting, and he looked at me, shrugged, and said "That's showbiz!" while Ethel Merman sacrificed the San Diego Chicken to the antichrist. Anyway, that's were my mind is this morning.

Those sound like some fantastic visions. I'm glad that Brendan and the fat motorcycle twins were not involved. I did poke Brendan's belly the other night and he has definately added an extra layer that is being hidden my the "Go Badgers" sweatshirt.

Pitchfork list is the equivalent of a tv "clip show." Hershel Kornheisel's column is funny, he calls his grandmother a bicycle and Peter Angelos a troll. That will always make me smile.

From the "ask the slouch" part of Norm Chad's column:
Q. Do you TiVo the CBS laughfest "Listen Up" every Monday, or do you prefer to watch it live? (Barry Diamond; Potomac)

A. I'll tell you the same thing I told Tony Kornheiser last week when we bumped into each other at Gold's Gym: "Listen Up" makes "Two and a Half Men" look like "The Honeymooners."

Klighman!
