Blurg.
Ok, I officially can't hang with dawn. That s__t is early.
Our servers actin real funny like with secure hosts, which makes making sure I'm in the black with MandT a pain. Hopefully all is back to pre-holiday distraction glory on the interweb. Here's to a New Year of productivity!
Also, I checked to make sure you brought your lunch (good jorb), then forgot mine. Yay 2005!

Infrequency and Indie Punching. Not Professionalism.

I got no sleep last night. Sundays officially suck. I'm going to start getting in bed at 6 so I'll fall asleep at a reasonable hour. Can't wait for a delicious chicken sammitch. I think I have a staff meeting, who knows. Where am I? What's going on? Why is my head falling off my shoulders? Why is Howie Long throwing a toaster in my bathtub?
I am saying boo-urns. Look at Pitchfork and you will see why. As much as I would like to read some concert reviews, I do not want to read an interview with Wolf Eyes or hear what Annie's Top Ten is, and that should not keep me from a weeks worth of content. Boo-urns.
I looked up Paul Weller tour dates on www.paulweller.com, there weren't an 'merican dates up there and I don't quite feel like traveling to the Hammersmith Apollo in Smarch weather, so I guess we'll have to wait.
Wow. Seriously busy here. I have more on my plate than Akibono.
I did take note of Bitchfork. That's lame. It's not like the writers/reviewers/whiners/scenesters are involved in the website design, get them off their asses to tell me what's cool.
I'll be eating delicious peanut butter crackers for lunch, and since I'll probably be here for dinner, maybe some cheez its.
Also, not certain if shaving evenings will work for me. I'm lookin a little more Pedro than Pete this morning. On the plus side, that's a great tiemsaver - I had time for a pop tart and some tea this morning.
I am so lame.
President of our apartment would be a pretty good race. On the one hand, you have the moustache and Halo2, on the other I have the sweet bike and Nintendo. Who will win the Owl's deciding vote???? Probably which ever one of us has hit him with darts the least.
I've been secretly working on a pinata effigy for months. That's how we do things down in Hoo war ez.
Bill Simmons week 17/mailbag is solid. A lot of "letters" are distinctly (annoyingly) aping Bill's narrative voice. The blind date scale response (though I have no experience in this area, save television) is pretty good.
By the way, you have to meet Courtney's friend Laura, she's very, very cool.
Missing a limb? Sign me up. I read that last week and had to reconsult the ratings scale. I think one of them should have been "actually blind."
I got through the staff meeting unscathed. It's tough to say who is leading in the tie wearing competition (pun using "tied" as the score considered....and rejected), but since my competitor has already asked if he can take his off after lunch, I'd say my prospects look good.
We didn't have a staff meeting, but so far I'm unscathed as well. We used to have a pop quiz kinda thing in physics class, and it was huge not to get anything wrong - to be "unscathed", that's actually the word Fr. Shea used. That class was about job-interview level pressure daily.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, our scary Wednesday deadline got extended through next Friday. It's amazing how much work reflects school. Off to recess.
