Dear Gournal...

Traffic was sweet this morning. I was a little early for work. Contemplating possibilities of sleeping with eyes open.

Checked out philly.com to look for any Phillies news, like maybe they signed a lifetime 5.40 ERA Reliever to a multi-year contract... That was yesterday. Today, they joined the Orioles in the legendary baseball off-season, the Slightly Lukewarm Stove League, and signed Jose Offerman, veteran (dare I say journeyman?) utility infielder. The words are almost the same as the Sunpaper's: "The Phillies have a little more competition for their bench jobs." This is excitement?

Also interesting, which headline is not like the others?

Blitz package: Sunday could bring ... snowballs
Bill Conlin: Some flaky proposition bets
Snow or no snow, Eagles to play as scheduled
Sam Donnellon: More Vick runs, higher the Falcons fly
McNabb, Vick set for milestone game
Stephen A. Smith: Atlanta has a defense

Be honest, all you really want to know is that Atlanta has a defense. I don't see how that is any different from:
Reilly Quinn: I Have a Hat

Way to go on Offerman, I have his future stars card if you want it. Maybe he'll finally come into his own.

They must have done some work on the roads last night. They were fine by the time we got out of the basketball game. It was pretty good, Garry Williams was angry and sweaty.

Watched some of the game while sipping a Boh in the Crease. Good work not to lose to a team that's 0-4 in the ACC.

This WaPo column is good. I get sick of over-the-top "pay attention, ignorant masses!" columns, but this one is solid, and not too sky-is-falling as much as DC-R-Dum.

Also, schools were closed in some MD towns today. Are they kidding? I can't wait for more snow.

That column was alright, he really doesn't introduce anything that I haven't been reading in similar Wash Post and Economist columns since the election though. In a word, boring. Almost as boring as my computer Redskins' 9-7 victory over the computer NY Giants. John Hall had 50 and 55 yrd field goals. Lets celebrate. It's your turn to buy beer.
