Might be nice

From the Post article on new radio formats from Sunday:

• Later this month, Clear Channel will convert its Sports Talk 1260 WRC-AM to the liberal political talk that Air America is selling as an alternative to the nation's most popular talk shows, most of which have a conservative bent. The new WRC will bring Al Franken and other liberal talkers to this market, albeit to a station with a weak signal.

I'll keep you posted on Wilco, tickets go on sale at 10.

Also, according to Wilco, doors 6:30, rock and roll 7:30. No word on any opener. Could be reasonable bed time.

Austin City Limits can be pretty hit or miss, but it looks like a lot of hits coming up. We'll have to fire up the VCR though as it seems to come on at 1 or 2 AM on our local affiliates......and they wonder why I don't give generously during their annual pledge drives, tote bag or no tote bag.

This is gonna take all morning.

Austin City Limits is a weird show. I see it's on, and I'm like ooo, maybe Wilco or Tom Waits or something, and it's like, Alan Jackson.

Sooweeet. Excellent jorb. The will call thing does suck, I expect a sub freezing line and dumb temperatures.

Watch your fiery political commentary in the title post of this, er, post.

Congrats on the Amazon horde. I will enjoy borrowing it without asking and never returning.

Were G Love and the Sauce not getting along in 1995? He had some potential back then.

For a split second, I thought "That would have been a pretty cool show." Paraphrasing lbs. of potatoes, "No, you are not." I'm sure Keller Williams enjoyed it, and dreamed.

Good blog humor on the Horde discussions. Did you get ebayable extra Wilcoll tickets?

I didn't even try to get extra tickets, but according to my new least enemies on the 930 club forum, i wouldnt have been able to, it sold out in 15 seconds. I may still be gun shy about extra tickets after Moz, even though Wilco will certainly sell out.

As tolerable as the Horde music may have been, you must remember allllll the stupid people that would be there.

Off topic: from wonkette.com

UPDATE: Tucker Carlson's Last Crossfire?
Despite the chatter on today's "Crossfire" that seemed to hint at Tucker's departure, we hear that it's not that Tucker is leaving "Crossfire", it's that "Crossfire" is leaving "Crossfire". CNN said to be canning the show, replacing it with monkeys throwing their own shit at each other.

from kc jones' brain:

CNN is said to be replacing "Crossfire" with "CNN's Crossfire presented by Milton Bradley." Paul Begala and James Carville will fire tiny metal balls from the left side of the stage attempting to push decorative spinners to the right where Tucker Carlson and Bob Novak will be armed with their own metal marble cannon. The show will end when one team loses, spins away into oblivion screaming 'nooooooooo.....,' leaving the victors to chant 'yes, yes, yes' with much fist pumping."

I'm hilarious
