People v Chaz

In this case I will be arguing on behalf of Bob Mould. We should definitely go to his show on Friday January 21st. I will present all of the evidence gathered from various sources.

Exhibit A: http://modulate.blogspot.com/ . This is his blog, he uses the same blog service as us and is a cool guy. This is the website for Blowoff, his 9:30 Club dj set: http://blowoff.us/. If you check out the playlist you will see that he plays Weezer AND Lindsey Lohan (it's like he's in our heads).

Exhibit B: This is a setlist on some Philly guy's blog:http://www.monorailmike.com/archives/2004_12/index.html#137 (it's under Dec 3rd). He plays Husker Du and Sugar songs. Azlo, 'makes no sense at all' is fantastico!

Exhibit C: 9:30 Club Forum people say these things:
"I saw his Birchmere show last month. Half-acoustic/Half-electric. I think the only Husker Du songs he played were "I Apologize" and "Celebrated Summer". My first time seeing him play (not counting WedRock). Great show. Highly recommended."

"He generally plays a few Sugar songs in his solo sets. Expect Your Favorite Thing, Hoover Dam, and if you're lucky the Explode and Make Up/Hardly Getting Over It medley."

They also suggested that I email the Bob, which I may do.

Premptive defense: If Courtney is free that night, perhaps she and some friends could hang out in Anny-polis and we could meet them for cocktails afterwards (it is an 8:30 show and I'm not sure they have openers there).

Ticketing at Rams Head is weird so I'm guessing the sooner we decide the better:

I can tell you really want to go, but I'm not sure. I'm just not feelin it, really. Like I said, he seems like a really cool guy (blog makes him sound almost disappointingly down to earth), but it just doesn't sound like an awesome show to me, it sounds like the kind of show I'll be really glad I went to, but won't enjoy that much in process.

Of course, like I said, really poor timing for me. I'm going to be at work late-night Tues and Wed - which is Courtney's birthday - and, like Sebulba, girlfriend always wins.

I am flattered or something that so much work has gone into making your case, 16 year old mock trial Pete applauds your thoroughness. I cannot, as of now, give an answer.

Laos, Apple's monitors are asspensive. You know who makes a cheap monitor? LG. Them's cheap.

Also Compaq makes a $200 flat screen that has speakers, that's pretty sweet. This is going to be a franken-computer, and may well have and iMac mouse and keyboard.

I understand if you've got other stuff going on around that time, it will make a decent concert less enjoyable. Thats cool with me, I'd just like to know one way or the other over the 3 day weekend since I'd plan on going myself anyway, and like I said the ticketing is all specific reserved seats.

I was in my first investigative interrogation conference this morning and it went pretty well.

Under my Apple Federal purchase plan, it is acceptable for me to buy things for a friend, so we can check that out sometime over the weekend. I think I can save you about $30-40 on the computer which will defray monitor/keyboard costs.

Congratulations on your interrogation, did it include a swinging ceiling lamp and multiple packs of cigarettes?

I'll definitely decide on Mr. Mould one way or the other this weekend.

We'll see about computer, I have to call my moms and figure out the timeline. It will be really, really, really nice to have a computer. Really nice.

We went for the drip from ceiling, basement dwelling, single lightbulb approach. I think it worked well, I only had to go Andre Braugher on them twice.

These are the items I purchased off eBay the other day:

I really don't need any more faux vintage clash stuff or posters, but what the hell. There is also no adequate portrayal of them all running up to the microphones captured in t-shirt or poster form and I can't wear a vh1 classic video.

Nice. It's dumb that new shirts can be called "vintage". There should be a law. I'll make some wine, it'll be vintage 1992. Well, I mean, kind of like vintage 1992, in appearance.

Is that the Jimmy Eat World singer modeling your new tshirt?

I think they Jimmy Eat World guy shops at Eddie Bauer and wears huskier sizes than we do. I think he has a side project called Jimmy Eat Pork Rinds.
