The Answer is None, None More Blog
I will not say anything about the current lack of snow so as not to curse us in a few hours when we are blanketed. Mmmmmm, blanket, bed, zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I might have not mentioned that Erik called me on Thursday night when I was outside the Black Cat, to ask me who sang the song "Little Black Backpack." I didn't know what he was talking about, made him sing it for me, had no idea. I think he was at happy hour, it was odd. So of course I looked it up:

Still no idea.
What do a Duke fan, a llama and Robert Novak have in common? They're mentioned in the same hilarious sentence in Norm Chad's column:http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A58095-2005Feb27.html?nav=headlines
What?!?! No concerts this week! Sleep?!?!?! Weirded Out.

Infrequency and Indie Punching. Not Professionalism.

I think Erik was in Stroke 9 he should remember that. Definitely reminds me of summers spent painting mansions and, for some reason, Megan Ridolfi being really excited about HFStival. That was the era of EveStrokeSR6971, etc.
Funny you should mention college basketball... My primary dream last night involved, through a confluence of circumstances, me getting put in with .3 seconds left in a MD/UNC game, for some reason, and Gary Williams inbounding to me for a short jumper(uncontested, as UNC had already left the floor), for Maryland to win by 4. I think I got someone else's dream. Somewhere, a Washington College basketball player dreamt of playing keyboards for Styx and dating Ric Ocasek's wife.
Don't forget the "worlds collide" of sports and cultural commentary. It started on my birfday. What a nice present I didn't notice.
I'm glad you dreamt of being on the right team. I'm also glad that I didn't dream of this guy (http://espn.starwave.com/media/ncb/2005/0225/photo/i_chaney_i.jpg) breaking my arm. He's scary.
Next time you need some motivation:

I'm guessing that none of the links in bob mould's San Francisco blog post are work/straight guy appropriate. "Bearbucks" is a funny word, I think that's wear F'in Monkey and GDamn Bear hang out.
I'll be sure to check out Simmons v CK.
"I think that's wear F'in Monkey and GDamn Bear hang out."
Wear?!?! Me fail english? That's umpossible.
I said "Erik was in Stroke 9 he should remember that." That's at least missing a comma. Can you edit comments?
Grrr. The "r" is for radically slow interweb today.
I've hated Jalen Rose since he lit up the Sixers as a member of the 2000 Pacers. I hope to someday pass my biological father in snide-ness. I'm already waaaaay ahead in career GQ subscriptions.
I read some of lyrics etc. before (on NME.com, perhaps?), and I think he was sitting behind me in all my Creative Writing classes, taking frantic notes on the pieces I submitted for workshop. The Katie Holmes to my Tobey Maguire, I guess. He does seem like a cool guy. I'm cheering for him, if only because I listened to Billy Bragg's "New England" this morning.
I dunno why blogger f'ed that link up, maybe a new species of monkey is running this thing. It previewed right. Anyway, can't edit comments. It's about Patrick Wolf.
Aw, snap. ESPN's page 2 analysis: "Maryland: Beating Duke 2X will sure make them NIT favorite"
Is this you? I know you can't pass up Meh-he-can wrasslin.
From Howard Kurtz's chat:
"Re: Luchadores: Can you provide a link to that Mexican wrestlers story?
washingtonpost.com: Who Are Those Masked Men? (Post, Feb. 28)
Howard Kurtz: Here it is."
I noticed the Patrick Wolf thing, they have run two daily features with him recently. I'd be interested to hear some of it.
I don't think I have ever followed the NIT, that would give me a good/sad excuse.
I think maybe steak and mushrooms this week on KCooks (which if you havent noticed now coincides with pay weeks).
Lucha Libre is sooooo 5 years ago. Not to get into my high school pro wrestling addiction too much, but at some point WCW tried to make its show more exciting with crazy Mee-hi-cans flying around in masks and WWF went for soap opera stories and well.....it turns out that hillbillies like soap operas, not people who remind them of the guys that took their jerbs.
I won a free song from iTunes with a bottle of Pepsi. 1/3 of the way to a Ted Leo EP.
The Bill Simmons/CK thing is good so far. It proves that peopel might actually want to read what we talk about if it weren't frequently insular. The photo of Winona Ryder here: http://proxy.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/faceoff/040817/part4
will give me nightmares for years to come.
