Fear and Loathing no more...
Hunter S. Thompson, dead at 67. I tried to get a link from Rolling Stone, but THERE's NO MENTION OF IT. Those guys suck, maybe they'll cover it in their next "Rolling Stone Cover Art Issue" covering the months of June through November. ESPN has better coverage.
Also, Earl Weaver hanging out at O's Spring Training...
Also, no traffic is nice.
Also, I'll be at work late to set up for my college fair- er, conference tomorrow.
Also, Harry Carey does not kill self, but if he did...

Infrequency and Indie Punching. Not Professionalism.

I read both of those, I was up at 8 for no reason. I should really be stocking up on sleep now since I won't be getting as much later in the week. That's a theory that's about as likely as my "Orioles use up all thier runs in one game" theory.
Earl Weaver hangs out in our bathroom with Willie Nelson. (I'm sure we're the only 2 people talking about that).
The Harry Carey joke is definitely the best inside joke in a while.....we sure are losers, draped in stupidity.
I know this M. Ward review is from Friday, but I wanted to mention - this reviewer enjoys M. Ward so much, and this record is so great he basically begs you to buy it. 8.2.
I haven't even downloaded any M Ward yet, perhaps that is a good first step.
I just can't believe that guy is so glowing, and can't give it at least a 9. Another case for 3 stars.
Meh.

Well, I have visited Jamaica, and I do hang out in Annapolis... I shall hereby be referred to as "OSV"; it's no ODB, but it'll do.
You're so bored on your day off that you're googling names? Weak. I know the Post has no chats today, but still...
My status as a seagoing vessel will generate cred for the Press Gang. I can carry a crew of 15, and play 3 chords.
yeah, i'm bored. can't go spend money and don't have any car problems i need to take care of. now i'm using up my ring tone credits, thinking about Billy Ocean "Caribbean Queen" but i dont want to commit to anything yet.
Continuing in the Rolling Stone sucks category: Spin Magazine sez: "Chuck Klosterman's 3rd book 'Killing Yourself to Live: 85% of a True Story,' will be published in July." I just hope it's not a 'my job is so hard' book. No word on if he will be touring dc area barnes and nobles/2 br apartments.
85% of a True Story sounds more like a AHWOSG than anything else. Chuck, don't disappoint your retardedly like-minded fans.
Still tickets available for tonight's Futureheads show. Kidding. Maybe we need some Noonan-tussin to get through this week.
I prefer Pork-tussin.
I think I'll celebrate president's day by reading and playing music so loud my stereo starts smelling funny. Just like "a Washingtons" would have wanted it.
How're your plans going?
I posted a lunch-break narrative of my super sweet birthday ball weekend on Steph's blog.
Your drinking buddy's stirring up some news. Hans Brix can't always have the spotright.
President's Day Diary:
Plans are going well. I read SPIN, CK article is ok (he mentions Brazilian Girls and Futureheads). Are we sure he doesn't live in our fireplace? There is a Dave Eggers article that is fantastic. Possibly moving on to book readin'.
Some Bloc Party, "Robot Rock," "Daft Punk is Playing at My House" and Tyranny of Distance (in it's entirety) were chosen for the music portion of our show. All sound better loud.
After that, some stationary biking. Now, watching "21 Grams" on demand. I look forward to having a "Hey, I just saw 'Heat'." style conversation at some point.
