Merland won, which is nice. I haven't gotten a chance to read anything this morning.

I'll probably leave here around 3:30. We'll be at the one by Union Station, if you're still around. http://www.capcitybrew.com/index.htm

We shall see. This is going to be a REAL crappy day. I'm also feeling a bit under the weather (sore throat) so beware.

Line up for the Oasis/Jet concert.

I'll be alternating extremely busy/not busy, my day will not be fun.
More sleep will help a sore throat, I think we have chloraseptic in the baffwoom. I azlo have cough drops as I seem to have a permanent phelm rasp in the winter.
I'd like to meet someone (besides Tatsuro) who is totally amped about Oasis/Jet. Much like how I feel about Black Crowes, it doesn't seem like the worst thing in the world, but it's certainly nothing to get excited about or go see for that matter. Are both brothers still in Oasis? Would allmusic care enough to update Oasis' info anytime after 1997? We'll have to check.

Daft Punk could have been playing at Frank Costanza's house?

Yeah, I think the Spin bit on him said much the same thing - after declaring hime the coolest man in all the land.

I asked the other data guy here if the stuff I'm working on is as bad as I think it is.... "Oh, far worse."

In a show of will (not of devotion to Jeebus), I'm giving up frozen pizza for lent. Can I do it? Last year I gave up soda, that worked pretty well. Note it says frozen, so I'm leaving myself open for butter pies.

I'm giving up buying stuff, hopefully. Ha. Cough.

Your bar looks fancy. I'm not sure if I'll make it or not. I guess I'll look for two geeks in ties.

Hmmm, Stupitron 3000-related item...

I just had a sec to read the Sietsama chat. Hilarious. Awesome. I hate self-righteous vegetarians. I wish this were me:

"Lame!: Vegetarians are lame.

Tom Sietsema: Hey, now! Some of my best friends are vegetarians."

The veggidiots confirmed said lameosity with statements about religion, etc. Dude, majority rules. I don't like brussels sprouts, I don't order them. If you DON'T LIKE TO EAT MEAT for whatever reason, don't f___ing order it, and don't forbid me from stuffing tasty animals with other tasty animals from assorted geni and species.

Oh man, people are dumb.

I read that and felt the same way. I am not a meatatarian, I just enjoy meat and don't eat vegetables, why the distinction? I still enjoy that chat for the "restaurant horror stories," it's often things that I wouldnt even think about or remember more than an hour after the meal. Damn "foodies."

Azlo, I am saddened by how much Gender Studies has been involved in Mean Gene's chats. Some of it is interesting but, meh, not all that funny.
