What can you tell us.....

....about the song "I'd like not to hear that?" Last night was odd. I guess I should have at least gone to the gym. Ah but there is scrubs tonight, which is good. Listened to the Rites of Spring CD on the way to work, they must have remastered it because it sounds a lot better than I remembered.
Dropped the rent off, paid my credit card and cell phone, threadless and bluefly will feel my wrath.

Yeah, Krist Novoselic doesn't want anything to do with that rock'n'roll lifestyle. Dave Grohl's millions, beautiful wife, thousands of cars? Not jealous at all. Novoselic's passion is for electoral politics, and is completely unrelated to purple jeans or bass guitar. Sweet 75? That was just a moderatley successful vehicle for electoral reform. This guy and Jack should hang out.

$0.02:
#1 is the shirt I like most. It's very close to the pink one I have, only it is probably made of cotton. If you don't buy that, perhaps we could arrange a combined shipping arrangement.
#'s 2 and 3, not a fan. 2 seems too loud, though I guess it could be pulled off, and 3 reminds me of an A/V dork or a chem teacher, in a bad way.
#4 is also nice, and I think more wearable than 2 or 3.

It occurs to me that I owe the federal gov't an ungodly amount of money.

Your advice seems in line with what I was thinking. #2 is too much like a Lacoste from Goodwill that I have and don't wear, the sweater I wasn't sure on because of the stripes, but I'd probably never wear that either. 1 and 4 it is.

I don't know that you will owe the gov't all that much, more than normal yes, but not ungodly.

I started Bovary today. My edition has a pretty funny introduction with some hilarious Flaubert backstory and a general "girls are dumb liars" tone. It will surely help me dominate the next discussion group.

That Bill Simmons, funny guy. As for plans, tonight Maryland/Clemson, Scrubs, and tomorrow night's the (red)state of the union. At some point I need to make some phone calls about a bunch of crap I have hanging over my head, and return some video tapes.

New daily read?

I agree with all of those evening plans. Remind me to sweep your leg at some point too.
I ended up getting 3 shirts from threadless: the one with the radios, one with the panda swatting at tanks and helicopters (bears are hilarious), and your heart/metro shirt because they have it in grey. I don't need any of them but I feel good now....oh....wait....just looked at my arm again...crap.

Really, stupidly busy today. Plus traffic sucked - nasty tractor trailer wreck had the outer loop shut down completely around the B/W pkwy.

Ooooo... I had seen this last week, figured the price would be much higher.

In my capacity as purchase discourager...don't buy that...have you even worn the blazer you just bought?
In my capacity as an appreciator of unfathomably awesome things...that's pretty damn cool....but you need a computer, jerk.

Vindaloo for the State of the U? Do you have enough basmati rice left?

Hey man, I'm hood rich - I can afford the Benz, but not the benzin, I can pay for the blazer, but not the tailor... etc. I put the over under on final price for that suit at $200. I cannot afford it.

Vindaloo sounds like it would make quite a dish. I should have plenty of rice.

Nope, but he answers my question with a porn reference.

Good work assuming the tone of Weingarten chatters, who are pretty consistent in their attempts to be funny. I thought Jim Davis said he'd heard all Weingarten's records? He just wanted to refer to himself as Ron Jeremy. I didn't buy the suit, though the dude who did got a pretty good deal.

Yes, I was playing the role of Weingarten chatter hoping my faux allegiance to him would stir up some Jim Davis hatred but he clearly didn't read the Davis chat.
Saw that you didn't get the suit, good job.
Simmons posted again at 10 of 1 if you haven't seen it. How many weeks will he take off after this?

I say we pick 2 or 3 each, and play with single malt scotch. Dibs on "freedom," "everytime they show Laura Bush" and my own wild cards...."KC Jones with strengthen the nation's education" (I'll drink double), "I'd like to thank my man Xzibit for pimpin out Air Force One (points to him in the crowd, sitting next to John Elway)" (I'll finish the bottle) and "The state of our nation is strong thanks to Dawson Hunter" (I'll finish all the alcohol in the apartment.

I will read that in a sec, but first, roo roo:
From Weingarten's augmented chat of last week:
"This actually reminds me of one of my favorite unpublished entries to the Style Invitational. We gave sounds and people had to explain what the sound was. One sound was "Fizz Fizz Plop Plop." And the entry was: "Two babies drink Drano." Sorry."
