If there were an effective way to convey the hilarity of me singing "Love Cats" in blog form, I'd be doing that.
I guess we should leave a little after whenever you get home tonight. Sold Out concerts are annoying and I'd like to be able to see.....because I'm a princess.
Still want to drive around DC this weekend? GoG's blog sez Capital Hill restaurants are having their own restaurant week. Lunch at the Ugly Mug?
Somebody put these links on 930 forum:
Very funny PF review of a NIN album that I never would have read:http://pitchforkmedia.com/record-reviews/n/nine-inch-nails/fragile.shtml
and fake PF frontpage:http://www.somethingawful.com/fake/richdork/
(dont bother clicking on anything, it takes you to somethingawful.com, but the fake band names are hilarious)
Feel free/obligated to comment on yesterday's posts.

Infrequency and Indie Punching. Not Professionalism.

So much content, so little time.
I have to believe that the pitchfork spoof is a coupla years old, which might make it even more damning. They are indeed stupid. I'm not sure richdork is the best funny name, but the band names, and especially the ads, are dead on. Maybe the Press Gang could advertise there.
I think the song "Into the Void" is on The Fragile, and I kind of like that song. Listen, you know who the worst lyrcist ever is? Whoever writes the Deerhoof lyrics, which read like Hello Kitty catalogue copy. "Think about that Rabbit Dog, right now, Rabbit Dog needs food, right now." Yeah, so dada and abstract it's fucking sublimely profound. But that's the point, right? And Trent Reznor really thinks he's saying something. To quote the Doves, "..." Aw nevermind.
Incredibusy today, gross. I'm now at the stage where vacation/out of office days actually suck because the first day back is awful. Is this a bad thing? I'll keep you updated on my clock-out status. I can't wait to visit the Worcoran when we move to DC.
The NIN thing just reminded me that they have funny reviews every now and again, but the spoof reminded me that they are generally moronic and have been for a while.

'Did you mean: Guggenheim' "
I did get a few pieces of seafood advice from the cooking chat yesterday. Whole Foods is a good place to get seafood apparently. Mussels are good year round and oysters are pretty decent anytime except summer. That was from another poster who also suggested a cookbook. The cooking lady sent me to 2 seafood conservation group websites whose "eating/cooking guides" were "don't eat this because fishermen use mean nets when the catch them" and "fish packers give this shellfish dirty looks and it makes them sad."
Go here to see the ugly poster for tonight's concert (also set lists, i think the latest one available is 2/18)

Wow. Lots of (good) songs. Goodnight. I posted Re: yesterday's apartments. Brandon put hisstory up on the 521 Blog. And stuff.
Indeed......songs. I have enjoyed them both times I've seen them recently. Also one of the few concerts lately that I haven't been checking the time every five minutes, but we'll see.
I saw your apartment reply, I guess we'll play it by ear as far as a trip down there. I say yes now, before I go to 3 concerts. I'm not sure if you know what your weekend will be like yet, but the mini burgers at Ugly Mug seem to be all the rage (either there or white castle, i get confused).
Brendan's story is the phone conversation he and I had the other night, verbatim. In retrospect I definately should have hung out with he and Jack post-ball as opposed to Noonan and Dawson.
My birthday ball weekend has been appropriately re-titled "Fear and Loathing with Mike Noonan"
Your title is quite apt.
Simmons P-I-G article is good, though I caught a few typos. He doesn't need some smarmy, ass-kissing intern, he needs a lazy, ass-kissing editor.
Supposed to snow tomorrow, I hope that doesn't make things suck more. Drive down to DC is up in the air, yeah, but we have to do it sooner or later. Or sooner. I'd love to go to White Castle.
Hanging out with Brendan and Jack, as opposed to Noonan and Dawson, may not have been as depressing and potentially coke-addled, but that doesn't mean it would've been fun. Hanging out with Courtney, Julia, and Vince, and driving 5 miles to your priced-by-the-hour motel that smells like a thrift store, now that's fun.
Snow would give me a good excuse to sit out a Teenbeat concert.
I've been researching X-Country trips, this is a pretty obvious explaination of what we're getting ourselves into:

I know it's unlikely this'll get noticed, but I HATE ESPNINSIDER.
