Join the Club

An old guy in a Members Only Jacket sat next to me today on the Metro. I fear I am very close to wearing my own to work. I have a burning desire to infiltrate their clubhouse and learn all of thier secrets. Hopefully it will stay warm enough and I won't have to. For important info on the Members Only brand, go here. You'll note that they only sell one thing.

My entertainment based idea for the morning is two fold. Switch the casts of "Are You Being Served?" and "You Got Served." This guy would be breakin out dance moves funkier than D-Qwon whilst this lady cheers him on. This ugly guy gets served. Then this happens and these guys are all impressed but these two are not. Sadly, I fear most of the cast do not have their original hips.

Meanwhile, at this store someone has forced these gentlemen to put on shirts and work in the Mens Haberdashery Department in close proximity to the lady's underthings counter! Consternation! At first they were like "Whaaaaaaaaaaa?" but they learned to love it and even taught some white people how to dance. The white people returned the favor by drawing this.

Wow. I'd like to thank Google image search and the Academy. Thank You, good night.

If there ever were a Costanza moment, that was it. Don't forget to tip your waitress. I thought I was having a busy morning. You know, you could have been looking at apartments.

Anyway, I'll keep you updated on that front if you'll keep it crack a lackin on the opera side.

Dammit, I prefer Oranges Band. Or any band.

Also, if I'm submitting an application tomorrow (haven't called yet) you may want to make a copy of your W-2 and a coupla paystubs.

Alright... They're not making things easy for us, my friend. I spoke with Thuy (Twee?), and told her I'd stop by tomorrow. She needs $25 each app fee, plus $300 for deposit. Which is fine.

However, though they pro-rate the first months rent ($740 or something), they require first month's and first full month's rent by the time we move in. The other possibility is pay a full month's rent ($1390, naturally), and then have June prorated. Phew. I'll clarify this with her tomorrow (you coming?) and we'll figure some stuff out. I don't want to be homeless.

And yes, we do need paystubs and two forms of ID. I need to find my passport.

I'll come. That is odd about the up-front rentage. I'll need to do some budget re-figuring and possible parent borrowin'.

You're in for opera. I'll get to your work between 5:30 and 6 and we'll roll from there? Dining on espresso and chips at Cupa Cupa.

Cool. There's no rush on my side - I'll try and be ready to go by 530. Call me for directions.

Borrowing from my parents is a last last last last resort. I think I can swing a full month's rent for may (in addition to Eden Brook), and then a prorated Rock Creek Springs June, but I can't stomach the two together, which would run $1593744449204583.45.
