Badger Milk Hotel

Bought 2 tickets to Ted Leo at Ottobar on Nov. 22nd (tues before thanksgiving), I assumed you'd be down, but if not, I'm sure that the badger king would be.

This is real real cheap. They're starting to turn into Rolling Stone with this reissue garbage.

Netflix has not received the movies I put in the mail on Saturday. Who's to blame?

Remind me to hound you for a large rent/power/kabel check.

Can't I just put it on my tab?

Looking forward to Ted and the Medications. No, wait. Tej and the Smarmacists.

Yeah. And a lot of mags/blogs have been talking about how good Neutral Milk Hotel is/was lately. Not to be reactionary, but when my friends were real into Apples in Stereo, they also got real into Neutral Milk Hotel and Of Montreal. Not that these bands are connected by anything other than coincidence of time and my friends' trendy taste, but it's not surprising that NMH is the one with the longest shelf life. It appeals less to musical nostalgia and more to genuine wistfulness. And we all know how cheap musical nostalgia is.

Bottom line, 10.0 my ass.

"If this trend continues, CBS will soon debut a sitcom where Val Kilmer and Bijou Phillips portray alcoholic roadies for a Thin Lizzy tribute band who fight a futuristic war against tigers, robots and the Loch Ness Monster." -CK
