How Bout That
Finally got on today. I got some message about Blogger's engineers all morning.
Kornheiser talks about the Nationals and makes fun of a few of the Orioles' dumb players.
Black Cat is showing the Minutemen movie on May 2 for $5. I'm interested. Maybe I can buy a sweatshirt that will inform others of my college major, frugality, and affinity for d boon.

Infrequency and Indie Punching. Not Professionalism.

Aww, I was working on my own post... It was titled "Brandy":
He's a fine girl.
I shall purchase Decemberists tickets on the morrow. I understand the anticipation of my writ of debt to satisfy our slumlord before the first of the month, it will be in your hands not later than eventide. During the Decemberists concert, if we want to make fun of Brendan, we must do it in archaic terms. You heard me, Brenda.
Brendan also wants music recommendations, I think, though I don't understand how he can buy cds on a consultants salary, what with all the pizza expenses he must have.
I would recommend, if he doesn't already have them ( a best of recent, essentially):
Ted Leo/Rx - Shake the Sheets
Morrissey - You are the Quarry
Wrens - Meadowlands
Decemberists - either "Your majesty" or "Picaresque" - probably don't need both
Garden State soundtrack - will save you from having to buy any Shins or Postal Service
B list:
Kings of Convenience - Riot on an Empty Street
Bloc Party
Thievery Corporation - Cosmic Game
Bright Eyes' new ones
C list:
LCD Soundsystem - Any single (better downloaded)
Phoenix - Alphabetical
The Evens
There's certainly more...
Burgers tonight?
I would add to the A list:
AC Newman "Slow Wonder"
Beck "Guero" (been enjoying the songs more and more)
B List:
Queens of the Stone Age "Lullabies to Paralyze"
There are certainly more, I just can't think right now.
Burgers sounds good, I need to buy beer. Do we need hamburger buns or should I get the bread out the bread box. "Square wonder bread?"
Hmm... If you're getting beer, might as well get some real buns, or it'll be meat on meat with a side of meat - and a glass of meat. I may make french fried potatoes as well, we'll see.
Good choices in music, let's see what Brendan thinks.
I'm sure I'll add more music once I get home.
So I'll pick up:
Beer
Hamburger Buns
Fries
According to P-Fork:
LCD Soundsystem w/ M.I.A. - 06-12 Washington, D.C. - 9:30 Club
(Sunday)
Futureheads - 06-04 Washington, DC - 9:30 Club (Saturday)
Certainly two concerts that won't sell out anytime soon. Check back in June to see if we're still interested.
