I Feel Free

"Not worth it" can only begin to apply to the Cream reunion tickets. Even the Rolling Stones and Eagles are surprised.

Edie Sedgwick has filled the last remaining date at Ft Reno. You may remember him from Pitchfork's coverage. Should be......something.

Best Buy is a Jerk Store

Please to be adding several movies to the Netflix Queueueue. Actually, both may be worth buying, but I don't want to commit funds and man I'd enjoy some Wyld Stallyns. And Rufus.

Also possibly Bride and Prejudice.

Pitchfork is being lazy. I hate baseball. The NHL will announce their schedule soon. However, ESPN's NHL news page seems very death focused. Perhaps they've partnered with CNN?

Guernica

I did forget to mention that Chop Chop (featuring former members of Silver Spring's own Velocity Girl) played a song last night that was (earnestly) about the Spanish Civil War. I thought that subject was already covered by this band, a past winner of the Bob Doughty look-a-like contest and a painter named after some famous beans.

Go F___ Yourself San Diego...........Padres Firstbaseman Phil Nevin. His Topps Future Stars card is going right in the trash....the trash that Sidney Ponson is rooting through, looking for food, because he's a big fat man.

Paul Anka hosts a Coconut Banger's Ball. The sound clips are fantastic.

What Could Be Romantic to Ponson?

NWS says tomorrow's weather will be "Haze." Gross.

But what about the News....and the Nuge.

The Orioles got swept by the Devil Rays and the fat guy is the first one to go. The Sports Guy had a few columns last week that I missed.

I now know a lot about these guys, these guys and these guys. Ha ha, D Boon is fat and gross. Also, apparently when Husker Du opened for Minor Threat (whaaaaaa?), Bob Mould made fun of straight edge Ian by scattering Aspirin all over the stage, which is about as funny as pop-pop asking for your hair.

Humor

Indeed, ripping good laugh.

Jorts

We "forgot" to watch the Supreme Court announcement. Am I wrong to imagine it was like the Price is Right?

Orioles lose, Nats win. No good news there.

There'll be another iPod DJ night next week. Up for it?

Man, 8 hours is a long time.

Jesus Etc.

Pitchfork reminds me that I've been meaning to buy that Beanie Sigel album, and that I miss Moloko (zuh?). At least they got it up there bfore 11:00am. Jesus, people, the important people are on Eastern Standard, OK? I don't read the friggin LA Times.

Phillies may be coming back? I'm prayin' for em. Of course, the Philly website has Tour de Lance coverage above them. And Bernard Hopkins coverage is above the internet "fold," so...

I'm guessing Q and not U is getting some attention. It's a distinct possibility that you and not me will be there.

I hear hymns are the next big thing.

Boss Hog

How dare they sully the good name of Cooter.

What the?(photo)

I like when people post funny things on ebay. Both were originally posted on 9:30.

Your Little Herzog Friend

Esquire named "Your Little Hoodrat Friend" one of the 10 songs of the summer. They also compared the Hold Steady to Dave Attell fronting Everclear. I don't know how I feel about that. Good thing I don't rely on Esquire for music recommendations.

If your club's future lies in the hands of these bands, you better pack it up Hilly. Maybe he should pull a Pitino/Celtics press conference: "I got news fuh you guys. Joey Ramone ain't walkin' through that door. Aight? David Byrne ain't walkin' through that door folks."

How was Saul Bellow's iPod DJing?

A Fat Guy, 2 Regular Guys and a Skinny Guy

Finished out the boring Film Festival with Control Room which was very good but has a very low rewatch-ability quotient. Croupier comes today.

Started this. Good thus far.

The Orioles' World Series homefield advantage is now assured. I listened to a bit of it on the radio last night and Ernie Harwell did some play by play. Twas nice.

Matt Groening and Seth MacFarlane are both huge nerds, it'd be hilarious if they actually fought.

Don't know if you've been to the My Morning Jacket website lately, but they've had a cool Nintendo Ice Hockey logo on there for a while.

Heaven is a Place on Earth

Dischord's store has a Most Secret Method CD in their Slowdime section and in their Superbad section. Capital City Dusters were on Superbad for a while too, notable b/c the 'get a job' guy from the Belinda Carlisle cover band is their lead singer.

Sunday's Book World said that Klosterman's new book is going to get reviewed in Style this week, so keep an eye out for that. I think Joe Heim is supposed to do it, I fear that I have hated his work before but can't remember.

Ultimately, I made the right decision not to go to Dino Jr. Here's the setlist:Gargoyle/In A Jar/The Lung/Post/Forget the Swan/Little Fury Things/Repulsion/Raisans/Bulbs of Passion/Budge/Kracked/Sludgefeast---Just Like Heaven/Freak Scene/Tarpit/Chunk
I know maybe 2 or 3 of the songs that were not in the encore and I'm sure everything was uber-fuzzy. Woot woot for French Toast and saving $30. Damn Pitchfork and their Intonation.

That title should get us some nice internet search visitors.

Mmmmm Ribs

Great photo here.

Screw the Homerun Derby, French Toast. It's not even my favorite kind of derby. Still two TBA dates, I'm looking at you two guys. I fear that specific rock n roll fantasy will never come true.

Bears are hilarious. These bears are NOT.

Love Fest '05

C'mon, don't you want to go to Spring Cove?

It's gonna be a muddy good time. I'm currently organizing my Love Fest mix... heavy on Grateful Dead and Irish drinking songs. I wish my car stereo didn't suck so much.

When people ask why KC didn't come, can I say "Because he hates you."?

Pitchfork cannot go a day without reviewing somehting by Sufjan. At least this time it's downloadable.

Phillies are .500 and falling. Go Nats!

Azlo, I got the Audioscrobbler plugin. It's kind of an objective take on my other thing.

The Eyes of the Ranger

Not good.

You better....eh....knot...mention that again.

Philosophical query: If Sufjan Stevens signed on for the Intonation Festival would Pitchfork disappear in a large orgasmic flash of light?

Bob Mould is on a Friday....in October.

IMDB page for Crash. Paul Haggis is credited with writing Crash, Million Dollar Baby, as well as TV work on the Tracey Ullman show, LA Law, the Facts of Life, Love Boat and Diff'rent Strokes. By far, my favorite credit is that of "creator" for the seminal "Walker, Texas Ranger". Pitcher Kenny Rogers is on the Texas Rangers, can't Sports Pickle do something with that...with chicken, white beards, possibly Chuck Norris?

P McFT

Crash is playing at 8:15.

High on the list of things I could not care less about are the Olympics.

Good news for us, the hockey watching public and Gillespie, the Bruins-ticket-selling-fat-guy.

Yesssss!

Dregs

Poor Luther and Hank.

Odd, look at Oct. 1. Yep, Wrens September 9th. Don't know what I'll do until then.

Pitchfork has an annoying Intonation click-through page. I can't wait to go.

Monday Morning Norm Chad and Simmons from the other day.

To Do List:
